Hasanthika Sirisena is a Sri Lankan-American whose essays and fiction have appeared in numerous magazines including the Michigan Quarterly Review, Copper Nickel, The Kenyon Review, and Narrative and anthologized in This is the Place, Everyday People: The Color of Life, Best New American Voices, and named a notable story by Best American Short Stories in 2011 and 2012. She has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and is a Rona Jaffe Writers’ Award recipient. Her collection The Other One was the winner of the Juniper Prize for Fiction and was released in 2016.
