<description>In the January/February 2010 issue of Poets and Writers, Robin Ekiss joins eleven other debut poets for the “Fifth Annual Debut Poets Roundup.” In describing her inspiration for The Mansion of Happiness she states “my mother was a miniaturist who made dollhouse furniture and accessories, so I grew up surrounded by miniatures.” She goes on to describe her father’s influence and the photograph of a nineteenth-century toymaker which shaped the imaginative space from which she wrote.
